Overview

The Conservative Socially Conscious option excludes or restricts investments Aware Super considers to have a highly adverse environmental or social impact.

The option is diversified across a wide range of asset classes with a slight focus on defensive assets. It targets 61% in defensive assets such as cash and fixed income, and 39% in growth assets such as shares. This option invests in a range of asset types (listed and unlisted), investment managers and styles.

The Conservative Socially Conscious option is only available to members with a Retirement Income account.

Why you’d invest

May suit members who:
 

  • want to invest in accordance with Aware Super’s Socially Conscious approach,
  • seek modest capital growth,
  • can accept a moderate level of risk,
  • are prepared to stay invested in the option for 4 years or longer.
Our screens are grouped into three categories:
 
  • Climate change screens,
  • Ethical screens, and
  • Convention and controversies-based screens.
