Yes. Having super doesn't stop you getting the Age Pension, but your super balance and income will affect how much pension you receive. You’ll need to do the income and assets tests through Centrelink.

It depends whether you’re applying as a single person or a couple and how much you have in assets or income. Different rates apply.
- A single person could get up to $1,178.70 per fortnight before tax.^
- A couple combined could get up to $1,777.00 per fortnight before tax.^

You can earn up to a certain amount of income before your Age Pension payment is affected. As at 20 September 2025, the following applies:
Single person
- If you earn up to $218 per fortnight, your pension will not be reduced.
- If you earn over $218 your pension will be reduced by 50 cents for each dollar over $2.
Couple living together or apart due to ill health
- If together you earn up to $380 per fortnight, your pension will not be reduced.
- If together you earn over $380 your pension will be reduced by 25 cents for each dollar over $380.
The Age Pension is reviewed twice a year in March and September to reflect the changes in the cost of living for pensioners and wage increases.
