Aware Super has been awarded Outstanding Value at Canstar’s 2023 Superannuation Awards, recognising the exceptional value provided to members across a range of ages and account balances.

The Outstanding Value Superannuation Award underscores Aware Super’s history of strong, sustainable returns for its members over the past decade, something the fund is proud to deliver following years of global uncertainty.

Aware Super’s Chief Executive Officer, Deanne Stewart, said the win was testament to the fund’s strong focus on providing the highest level of personalised help in the sector, setting members up to achieve their best possible retirement outcomes.

“We’re extremely proud to receive this award, and grateful to the more than one million members who trust us to help support them on their journey to, and into, their best possible retirement,” Ms Stewart said.

“We know how critical it is to make superannuation simple for our members and the Aware Super team is dedicated to providing the personalised help, financial education, guidance and advice services to do so.

“Our focus every day is on helping to shape the best possible outcomes for our members, because we know how important it is for all Australians to plan for their retirement with confidence.”

The Outstanding Value award builds on recent successes for Aware Super, which was also recognised for Outstanding Value in 2022, and additionally awarded Canstar’s inaugural “Most Satisfied Customers Award” in the Superannuation category for 2022.

Note to Editors

Previously known as First State Super, we changed our name to Aware Super in September 2020.

Aware Super is a name that reflects our members and what we stand for. It echoes the strengths of our past, aligning to our purpose to be a force for good in superannuation, retirement, and advice, driving better outcomes for our members, their families, and communities.

Aware Super has been the fund for people who value community since 1992, and we’re now one of Australia’s largest funds and continuing to grow. We merged with VicSuper and WA Super in 2020 and now manage $150 billion in savings for more than 1 million members located across the country.

Our members work in roles that breathe life into their communities and they expect us to do the same. So, we invest in assets that we believe will make a positive difference today – improving our communities, building a more a sustainable economy and supporting employment both locally and globally at the same time as providing strong long-term returns.
