Aware Super is proud to receive Canstar’s ”Most Satisfied Customers Award” in the Superannuation category for 2022.

Canstar surveyed more than 3,000 Australians to find out how satisfied they were with their super fund, and Aware Super came out on top with the highest overall satisfaction.

“Consumers rated Aware Super highly on investment options and returns, as well as value for money and communication, so it appears Aware Super is doing something right when it comes to meeting customer needs and expectations throughout their journey,” said Canstar spokesperson Joshua Sales.

The award follows Aware Super’s significant investment in developing one of the broadest ranges of help, education and advice – including digital advice – service offerings in the superannuation sector.

”We’re extremely proud to receive this award, and grateful to the more than one million members who trust us to help support them on their journey to, and through, retirement,” said Aware Super Chief Executive Officer Deanne Stewart.

”Our focus every day is on helping to shape the best possible outcomes for our members, because we know how important it is for all Australians to plan for their retirement with confidence. And there’s still more for us to do.

”We recognise how critical it is to make super simple for members, by providing personalised help, financial education and advice services that are accessible when members need them.

”That might mean self-servicing online or via our app, getting in touch over the phone with our service teams, or face to face with a comprehensive financial planner – either in person or, as thousands of our members now prefer, via video conferencing anywhere in the world.

”That’s why we’ve committed to initiatives such as co-designing our mobile app in partnership with our members, or realigning our service teams so they can provide end-to-end support for members who need that extra bit of help when they call us.

“Ultimately, for superannuation members to achieve their best possible retirement outcomes, we need to make super simple. We’ve done well to this point, and we’re excited by some of the innovations we have underway to improve even further in the coming months.”

The Most Satisfied Customers award builds on recent successes for Aware Super, which was also awarded a 5-Star Rating for Outstanding Value in Canstar’s 2022 Superannuation Awards.

Note to Editors

Previously known as First State Super, we changed our name to Aware Super in September 2020.

Aware Super is a name that reflects our members and what we stand for. It echoes the strengths of our past, aligning to our purpose to be a force for good in superannuation, retirement, and advice, driving better outcomes for our members, their families, and communities.

Aware Super has been the fund for people who value community since 1992, and we’re now one of Australia’s largest funds and continuing to grow. We merged with VicSuper and WA Super in 2020 and now manage $155 billion in savings for more than 1 million members located across the country.

Our members work in roles that breathe life into their communities and they expect us to do the same. So, we invest in assets that we believe will make a positive difference today – improving our communities, building a more a sustainable economy and supporting employment both locally and globally at the same time as providing strong long-term returns.
