Our High Growth Indexed option is diversified across a range of listed asset classes. It targets 90% in growth assets such as shares, and 10% in defensive assets such as fixed income. Asset classes are passively managed (apart from cash), making this a low cost option.
This option is not available to members with a Retirement Income account.

Understanding passive management
Passive managers, also known as index managers, choose investments to form a portfolio that closely tracks a market benchmark (or index). Passive managers usually charge lower fees because they don’t need extensive resources to select investments.
Note: Returns at market extremes will typically be greater (positive and negative) for the Indexed options compared to the equivalent Core and Socially Conscious options. This is because the Indexed style is less diversified (by asset class, investment style, and manager).

The Australian and international shares asset classes for this option are managed to custom carbon-constrained benchmarks. These benchmarks exclude, or have a reduced weighting to, some of the most carbon intensive companies. In accordance with our fund-wide investment restrictions, companies generating revenue from tobacco, thermal coal or controversial weapons (above applicable materiality thresholds) are also excluded.
