Aware Super has again won the top awards at the Chant West Super Fund Awards, taking out Super Fund of the Year and, for the third year running, Pension Fund of the Year.
Aware also won Best Fund: Member Services and Best Fund: Insurance, capping a strong year for the fund and the 1.3 million members we serve.
The wins include:
Pension Fund of the Year for the third year in a row
Super Fund of the Year for the second time in three years
Best Fund: Member Services for the second year running
Best Fund: Insurance for the second time in three years
Aware Super CEO Deanne Stewart said it was a privilege to be recognised across the categories that matter most to members.
"Being named both Pension Fund of the Year and Super Fund of the Year is a real endorsement of the work our team does for members at every stage of their journey, from their first pay packet through to retirement," Ms Stewart said.
"These awards belong to our 1.3 million members. They are the reason we keep investing, innovating and looking for better ways to help them prepare for and enjoy their best possible retirement."
The Best Fund: Member Services award recognises Aware's continued investment in digital capability to engage members with their super, complemented by personalised support from our Australian-based member contact centre and advice team.
“The strength of our member service model is how digital services and our people work together to guide and support members,” Ms Stewart said.
In the past year, Aware launched Retirement Manager, a unique digital advice platform enabling members to spend confidently in retirement by helping them plan and manage their income and spending. We introduced an Age Pension Hub, including an industry-first age pension calculator, offered an online estate planning service at no extra cost to members, and rolled out a seamless retirement join experience that lets non-members consolidate their super and open a retirement account through one digital form.
Ms Stewart said the Insurance award reflected work to make cover simpler, fairer and easier to access.
"Our default cover has a lifecycle structure that's affordable for members of all ages. We also believe we have one of the most member-friendly and efficient claims experiences in the industry, including health and wellbeing support. New tele express and tele claims processes are helping families get faster, simpler outcomes when they need them most.
"Recognition like this is welcome, but the real measure is what we deliver for members. We are proud of what we have achieved, and we know there is more to do."
The awards cap off another strong year of performance by Aware Super, which was recently awarded the rare Epic Retirement Tick by Chant West and the Epic Retirement Institute for delivering great retirement outcomes for members.
The Chant West Super Fund Awards are a third-party assessment of super funds that recognise excellence across 14 categories spanning investments, member services, advice and insurance. The 2026 Awards were presented in Sydney on Wednesday 27 May.
