Aware Super has won four major awards at the 2025 Chant West Super Fund Awards including the top prize, Pension Fund of the Year, for the second year running.

Aware was also declared “Best Fund” in three key awards categories: Investments, Member Services and Advice Services.

Aware won the Investments award for the second consecutive year, recognising the strength of our investment process and our track record of delivering strong member outcomes.

Aware Super CEO Deanne Stewart said the awards were welcome recognition of Aware’s leadership in responding to Australia’s retirement challenge and helping its 1.2 million members reach their retirement goals.

“We are thrilled to be recognised as a leading superannuation fund for retirement,” Ms Stewart said.

“Shifting demographics are reshaping our society, with a generation of older Australians who will live longer, stay active longer, and demand more from retirement than ever before.

“These awards acknowledge that Aware Super is delivering the innovative solutions, personalised service and investment performance that will help our members live their best lives in retirement.”

Ms Stewart said the awards for advice services and member services were especially pleasing as they were the focus of the fund’s three-year project to bring its member administration platform in house and use digital technologies and AI to give members a smooth, simple, and helpful experience when engaging with their super.

“A good retirement means something different for everyone and we set out to make sure all our members can get the helpful, simple and personalised assistance they need to make the smart choices in retirement,” Ms Stewart said.

“Being able to engage easily with your super and get expert advice, especially in the important pre-retiree years are critical.

“Aware Super’s three-year transformation brought our member administration in house so we could have greater control and visibility of the member experience and build the innovative tools and systems our members need.”

Aware Super members can complete the majority of transactions online or via our app, with 95% of transactions being completed this way by our members.

Aware has also launched innovative, industry-first tools and services such as My Retirement Planner for planning your retirement goals and online, non-lapsing death benefit nominations for making sure your intended beneficiaries are known.

“Enabling our members do to most things online allows our member services team to focus on giving more personalised help and advice when and where it’s needed,“ Ms Stewart said.

The theme of this year’s Chant West Super Fund Awards was “Building a Better Retirement System”. Chant West said the awards celebrated funds “which were embracing the necessary innovation, critical thinking and change required to ensure more Australians enjoy a financially secure retirement.”
