Aware Super provides a range of confidential health and wellbeing services at no extra cost to members. These include support for mental health, nutrition and fitness, menopause, grief, and financial hardship. Members can also access a directory of free and low-cost community support services via our insurer TAL. 

You can book a confidential appointment with a qualified mental health professional through Teladoc Health. Call 1800 830 082 to get started. You’ll first speak with a mental health nurse, who will guide you through the process and connect you with a psychiatrist or psychologist within 10 days. 

Your insurance covers you and your immediate family, specifically your partner or spouse and any children over 18 years old, for all Teladoc Health services and other wellbeing support services. However, some of the services are available to all Aware Super members, even if you don’t have insurance through your super, including Headlight, TAL Directory of Support, Grief support and more. Note that some services may be specifically linked to your insurance.

Yes, all services are completely confidential. when you book a Teladoc Health service via Aware Super you become a customer of Teladoc Health, and they will not disclose or share medical reports or disclosures without prior consent from the individual.

For mental health support, you’ll receive a detailed treatment plan and ongoing check-ins for up to six months. Other services, such as nutrition and menopause support, also include personalised plans and follow-up where needed.
