Transition to retirement account

A transition to retirement account pays you an income while you continue to work. This means you can ease into retirement on your terms.

Retirement income account

An account-based pension at Aware Super is called a Retirement Income account.

Basic Cover

This gives your client a death and total and permanent disablement cover equal to the age-based cover scale.

Basic Plus Cover

This option gives your client double the Basic Cover amount. If they are eligible, you can apply for Basic Plus Cover at any time for them. Your client can also apply for income protection with this cover. If they choose this option, their income protection cover will have a 60-day waiting period and 2-year benefit period.
