A track record of delivering super long-term returns

9.58% p.a. over 10 years[P1]

A strong 9.58% p.a. over ten years to 30 September 2025 is great news for members in our High Growth option, where a majority of members are invested.

Would you have been better off with Aware Super?

While it's easier to compare fees or performance independently of each other, it makes sense to look at a net return analysis. A net return analysis considers overall performance over a period minus fees, costs and taxes. This gives you a clearer picture of how your superannuation investments performed.

This graph assumes the following; a $50,000 starting account balance; employer contributions based on a starting salary of $50,000 p.a.; salary increases of 3.5% p.a. and contributions tax of 15%. The Net Benefit refers to a member's investment earnings over the time period of 15 years to 30 September 2025, less any administration, investment and member fees for options within the SuperRatings Growth Index (77-90% growth allocation). The net benefit compares Aware Super to the median of 60, 54 and 46 Not for Profit funds over 7, 10 and 15 years and 164, 118 and 62 all super funds over 7, 10 and 15 years which is inclusive of Retail, Industry, Corporate and Government funds. Net Benefit provided by SuperRatings’ Net Benefit Tool, accessed 19 December 2025. Past performance is not a reliable indicator or a guarantee of future performance. Outcomes vary between individual funds. View net benefit methodology

Housing Australia’s frontline workers

Zara is an oncology nurse at the Peter McCallum Cancer Centre in Melbourne. Working late nights and early mornings supporting others, it’s important she can access housing that fits within her essential needs while offering a quality of life outside of her profession.

Aware Super proudly supports Australia's frontline workers through the Key Worker Housing scheme. This initiative provides affordable housing for essential workers like Zara, helping ease financial stress and improve her work-life balance.

Discover how Aware Super is investing in a better future for our communities.

My name is Zara and I work as a registered nurse at the Peter McCallum Cancer Centre.

Being a registered nurse has meant that I was eligible for the key worker housing which has therefore subsidised my rent.

With shift working, it means that sometimes you're working quite late and then going back to work quite early in the morning, so with the reduced travel time it's made sure that I'm well rested and able to give the best care to my patients.

Initially what I liked about this apartment and what I still like is the fact that it's light and bright, there's also in the complex a pool and a rooftop BBQ which has amazing views. It means a very positive impact on myself and other key workers' lives.

How one teacher prepared for retirement with Aware Super

Lauren is a retired teacher whose financial adviser guided, informed, and explained the steps that she might take when thinking about her retirement.

For anyone thinking about retirement, Lauren recommends seeing a financial planner and working with them to figure out what you want. She found that her advisor was able to guide her toward her financial goals.

As a woman, when I first sought financial advice it was daunting and the more I learnt, the more empowered I was, and I think all women should know everything there is to know about their financial future.

While I was working, I really didn't pay much attention to my superannuation.

To be honest, I didn't even open the envelopes that they sent me every year.

I went to my financial advisor and asked, "Where I'm at now and what are my options?"

And my financial advisor then worked really closely with me and guided me, informed me and gave me lots of options.

So he would do things like draw buckets on the whiteboard and explain my different options, and then say, "Think about these options, next time I see you, you're going to tell me which one you're most comfortable with."

I decided to leave teaching, leave Sydney and move to Bangalow.

I do a walk every morning,

I do the lighthouse walk twice a week.

Being retired I now have time to do the things I really like to do.

Just enjoying the good life, not having to rush everywhere.

For anyone who's considering retirement, I would say the first thing you need to do is make an appointment with your financial planner.

Start working out what you want to do, when you want to do it, and how you're going to get there.

Listen to the advice, get upskilled, get more knowledgeable.

Seeing my financial planner empowered me to be in control of my future.

It was my dream and my financial planner helped me make it come true.
