We currently have limited services available - as we’re making changes to our systems. From 1 May 2023 to 9am (AEST) 11 May 2023 there will be limited services available over the phone and email. This includes delays in processing refund requests and member contributions being applied. We apologise for the inconvenience and thank you for your understanding.

If you haven’t done so already, it’s time to update the USI details in your payroll system for members of VicSuper (USI 53226460365011) to the Aware Super USI 53226460365001

🛈 This is a final step in the merger that began in 2020. This change offers your employees more investment options, competitive fees and outstanding service. While our name is changing, our values remain the same, as does our investment in Victoria.

What’s changing

  • VicSuper will close and all your employee members will transfer to Aware Super.
  • All correspondence from us will be branded Aware Super.
  • If your default super fund was VicSuper, it will now be Aware Super. Here is the Aware Super choice of fund form.
  • Your employee members will see a change in the name of their superfund on:
    • their payslips
    • their bank statements
    • our website
    • our app

What’s remaining the same

  • VicSuper member numbers remain the same

Why Aware Super?

Aware Super is one of Australia’s largest superannuation providers with award winning^ superannuation for all Australians.

What you need to know and do

The transfer of your employees to Aware Super will result in some changes.

There are some important actions for you to complete before, and after, the move. Here are the key actions and dates you will need to note:

  1. Submit your end-of-quarter contributions by 20 April
  2. Take note of the limited service period – 1 to 11 May
  3. Update your payroll from 1 May

1. Submit your end-of-quarter contributions by 20 April

No matter your payment method, we recommend you submit your March end-of-quarter super contributions and payments before 4pm, Thursday 20 April 2023. This will ensure your March super contributions are received in time.

To meet March end-of-quarter contributions processing we will need to receive payments before 5pm, Friday 28 April 2023. Please remember Tuesday 25 April 2023 is a national public holiday, ANZAC day.

2. Take note of the limited service period – 1 to 11 May

Between 1 May 2023 and 9am, 11 May 2023, we will be upgrading our systems. During this period, our services will be limited. There will be delays to processing refund requests, and contributions being applied to member accounts.

The Aware Super clearing house, via SuperChoice, will still be available. So, you can continue to make employer contributions as normal.

3. Update your payroll from 1 May

From 1 May 2023, your payroll teams will need to update your employee members VicSuper USI to Aware Super’s USI.

This means, their USI will change from VicSuper’s USI 53226460365011 to the Aware Super’s USI 53226460365001.

Your employee member numbers will remain the same. To help your payroll teams prepare for this change, we’ve developed a guide pack with everything they need to know.
