We’re been proactive about reducing fees

Fees cover the costs of managing and investing your superannuation and retirement income.

As a member first fund, we’re committed to regularly reviewing fees across our products to deliver more value to our members.

That’s why in June 2025, we lowered fees by as much as 25%[F7] on our Retirement Income and Retirement Transition accounts.

That’s a saving of around $3,100 over retirement,[F8] so you have more money in your pocket to spend on the things you love.

Would you have been better off with Aware Super?

While it's easier to compare fees or performance independently of each other, it makes sense to look at a net return analysis. A net return analysis considers overall performance over a period minus fees, costs and taxes. This gives you a clearer picture of how your superannuation investments performed.

This graph assumes the following; a $50,000 starting account balance; employer contributions based on a starting salary of $50,000 p.a.; salary increases of 3.5% p.a. and contributions tax of 15%. The Net Benefit refers to a member's investment earnings over the time period of 15 years to 31 December 2024, less any administration, investment and member fees for options within the SuperRatings Growth Index (77-90% growth allocation). The net benefit compares Aware Super to the median of 63, 58 and 46 Not for Profit funds over 7, 10 and 15 years and 164, 120 and 59 all super funds over 7, 10 and 15 years which is inclusive of Retail, Industry, Corporate and Government funds.
