How to register as an Aware Super adviser

Welcome to this video on how to register online as an aware Super Adviser in just a few simple steps.
First, ensure your Licensee is registered with us. The Licensee you are authorised to provide Financial Advice Services on behalf of must have a valid Licensee Agreement in place with us.
Secondly, please have your adviser details on hand.
You’ll need your Licensee details, along with your ASIC Financial Adviser Authorised Representative number.
Then head to www.aware.com.au/adviser and click on the Register Now button.
Enter your registered licensee name, and AFSL number.
Read and agree to the terms, then click continue.
The licensee search results will display on screen. Please confirm the details are correct. If they are, please click on Yes, these details are correct button to proceed.
On the next screen enter your ASIC financial adviser registration number – make sure your details match those on the ASIC register.
Click next to continue
On the next screen enter your personal details.
Please make sure that your details match your legal identification.
Once you have completed and checked all the fields are correct click next.
On the next screen please enter your practice details and click next.
A summary screen will then appear.
Please check that all the details are correct, then read and agree to the terms and conditions by clicking the box then click Confirm.
Your adviser registration application has been successfully submitted.
Adviser registrations typically take about 2- 5 business days to complete.
You will receive an email notifying you when your registration is complete.
If you need to make any changes, please contact us rather than submitting a new request - you will need to quote your reference number, so please make a note of it.

How to request an adviser nomination

Welcome to this video on how to request an adviser nomination in the Aware Super Adviser Portal.
For advisers to be able to request an adviser nomination online, the client you are requesting to nominate you must an Aware Super member who has registered for access to Member Online.
To get started head to www.aware.com.au/adviser and login to the Adviser portal.
Select ‘Activities and reports’ from the navigation menu, and then select ‘Link existing member.'
Then read and accept the terms and acknowledgements and select continue.
The authority details will then display – please read the details and press continue.
Then enter the details of the member that you would like to link – you will need to enter their Aware Super member number; their last name and date of birth and press continue.
It’s important to note these details must match the member details we have on record for the nomination request to proceed.
A declaration screen then appears, please read this and select OK.
In the review and confirm screen check the member details, and acknowledge the declaration by selecting the tick box, and then select submit.
If the member details are found, a success message displays and an action is created for the member in Member Online by selecting the Member Actions dashboard button.
When the member logs in to Member Online, they will receive a notification that they have an outstanding action.
The member then selects the My actions link to be taken to the request details.
The details of the adviser nomination are displayed in the ‘my actions’ dashboard. This includes the licensee’s name and AFSL, the adviser details along with an explanation of what the adviser authority permits.
To approve the nomination the member needs to confirm they have read and understood the declaration by selecting the tick box, then the declaration will display. Once the member has read the declaration, they will need to select the close button.
If the member is happy to proceed, they simply select the approve button.
The member is then asked to confirm their approval be selecting ‘yes’ in the approve pop up box.
The adviser nomination has then been successfully set up.
The approved nomination will then appear in the Adviser Portal as Approved in the member actions dashboard.

How to set up a client data exchange feed

Welcome to this is your step-by-step guide to setting up a client data exchange feed from Aware Super’s Adviser Portal to your Xplan software.
First, log in to the adviser portal at aware.com.au/adviser.
Once logged in, navigate to the ‘My Info’ drop-down menu and select ‘Set up data exchange’.
The set-up data exchange screen displays the status of the data feed. To set up the data exchange service, toggle the switch from inactive to active.
Your username will pre-populate with your Aware Super Adviser ID. Your username will automatically fill with your Aware Super Adviser ID.
Create a password that meets these criteria:
- 12 to 20 characters
- At least one upper-case letter
- At least one lower-case letter
- Only letters and numbers, no special characters
Then, acknowledge the declaration and privacy policy, and click Register now.
After submitting, a pop-up will appear advising you to complete the process by entering Aware Super Adviser ID and password into your Xplan software.
Next, we will go through the steps on how to register your Aware Super Advisor ID in Xplan.
In your Xplan account, navigate to the Advisor Mappings page by selecting Admin Menu, then Integration, then System Data Feeds.
Click on Mappings, then Advisers.
To add a new Adviser ID, click ‘Add Mapping’ at the top right.
On the ‘Add External Adviser ID’ page, select Aware Super from the Provider drop-down.
Enter the required details and click Save.
You will be returned to the External Adviser Mapping List.
If you have multiple registrations that you need to perform, select the ‘Add more 'option before you click save.
Once this process is complete, you’ll be able to view your Aware Super client details in Xplan from the next available business day.
You’ve successfully set up the client data exchange feed from Aware Super’s Adviser Portal to your Xplan software.
