FAQs
The Essentials Will remains free of charge, including the Online Will and a review by an Australian law firm to ensure accuracy. If you have more complex circumstances or require further support, you can access a Customised Will - available to Aware Super members for $199, normally $359. This includes bespoke tailoring of your Will to suit your needs, along with a phone consultation with a lawyer for any additional questions. You can also arrange a Power of Attorney for $99 and access unlimited free updates to your Will and a secure Digital Vault for $15 per year (a free year of access is already included when you write a Will).
Your Will should be treated as a dynamic document that requires regular updates. If you need to update your Will, you can create a new Will with Safewill and, once properly signed and witnessed, that Will takes effect.
It's a good idea to update your Will whenever major life changes occur, such as marriage, divorce, or the birth of a child. Safewill makes it easy to update your Will at any time. Your Essentials Will includes unlimited updates for the first year, after which updates and Digital Vault access are available for just $15 annually.
Safewill uses a Zero Trust security framework combined with a privacy vault to keep your data secure and compliant with the Australian Privacy Act 1988. Your information remains private and is never shared with Aware Super without your consent.
Once completed, your Will is reviewed by Safewill Legal to ensure you have used the platform correctly. Once the review is complete, you can print and sign it in front of your witnesses.
Additional legal support is available through Safewill Legal. This starts with the Customised Will option, which includes a phone consultation with a lawyer to obtain advice, and adapt your Will to your specific needs.
